BigCommerce merchants can use reviews app by installing the OnVoard's app from BigCommerce app marketplace.
After your store is connected, OnVoard will automatically sync products from your store. Depending on the number of records you have, you may take up to a few hours for data to be fully synced. Keep in mind that reviews widgets won't be shown until a product has been imported.
Setup Email Profile & Domain
To send notification emails, you need to have at least 1 email profile.
- Go to email profiles page.
- If email profile if not created, follow this guide to setup email profile.
- For better deliverability, we recommend setting up email domain as well.
Setup Reviews Collector
To start collecting reviews for your products/site, you would need to setup reviews collector. In most scenarios, you would direct users from review request emails to collector page.
- Go to reviews collector page.
- If reviews collector if not created, follow this guide to setup reviews collector.
Setup Reviews Config
Go to reviews overview page and setup reviews config for your account.
Keep in mind that both Email Profile and Reviews Collector must be provided if you want to use Reviews app to send reviews emails. If you haven't setup any of these 2, go back to previous steps and set them up before proceeding.
Customize Reviews Emails
After reviews config is setup, you can customize reviews emails.
Go to reviews overview page and click Customize Emails to start customizing your reviews emails.
Review Request Emails: Once reviews config is setup, OnVoard will immediately send review request emails after an order is marked as completed.
Reminder Emails: Use this to remind customers to leave reviews if they didn't do so after the first review request email is sent.
Post-Reviewed Emails: Will be immediately send to reviewers after they have left a review. You can use post-reviewed email to reward reviewers with discount coupons.
Review Replied Emails: Will be send to reviewers when store has responded to their reviews. You can use this to notify reviewers and let them know your response to their reviews.
After reviews emails is delivered, go to reviews emails page to view stats and analytics for each email. You can even see how much revenue each reviews email is generating for your store.
Display Reviews on your Site
Besides setting up reviews collections, you would also want to showcase these reviews on your site.
- Setup reviews widget to display product reviews.
- Setup star rating to display overall ratings for each product.
Disable BigCommerce built-in product reviews
If you are using OnVoard's reviews app, you should disable BigCommerce built-in product reviews.
Import BigCommerce Reviews (Optional)
Import Existing Reviews via CSV (Optional)
For merchants migrating from another reviews vendor, you may want to import existing reviews into OnVoard. Feel free to contact us if need us to support importing reviews from a non-supported source. Do also attached CSV template for source that you need us to support.
