Follow instructions below to install web tracking on Shopify store. 

 

Before you Begin

  • Go to accounts page and ensure that ecommerce platform is Shopify.

 

Shopify Settings

Go to Shopify settings page and turn on install scripts so that OnVoard can automatically install web tracking scripts to your site.

 

Web Tracking Settings

Go to web tracking page to configure web tracking settings.

  • Activate web tracking.
  • We highly recommend keeping Auto Track turned on.
  • Turn on Shopify Activities you want OnVoard to automatically track.

Then click Save to update. OnVoard will automatically install scripts for you via API. 

 

Install Web Tracking Script

After that, click "Install Web Tracking" to add web tracking's app embed block to your current theme. This will install web tracking on your current theme.

 

Removing Scripts

To remove installed scripts, you can turn off install scripts from Shopify settings page and OnVoard will automatically cleanup. This should always be done before you uninstall OnVoard's app from Shopify. After OnVoard app is uninstalled from Shopify, we won't have API access to perform cleanup tasks.
