Conversion is recorded when someone makes a purchase after engaging with campaign. See how OnVoard tracks engagement. OnVoard use 7 days lookback window to identify campaign conversions.

When conversion is attributed to campaign, we will take order amount and record it as assisted conversions for campaign. In general, treat conversion stats as a reference and not dwell too much into absolute numbers.

Double counting can occur for assisted conversions

For example, a single order may generate more than 1 assisted conversion if 2 campaign widgets are engaged by user before it gets converted. In this case, both campaigns will show assisted conversion.

Why we don't use last-click attribution

Many merchants use more than 1 campaign widgets. Using last-click attribution will only attribute conversions to the last widget. This means you will lose insights for other campaigns that have contributed to purchase. This is why we prefer to record things as assisted conversions so that you can see how campaigns contributed to purchase.

Subsequent changes to order will not modify conversions

Refunds and cancelled orders will still be counted as conversions.
